End of year event – Women in Sport

IS children watching demo

WIS children & parents watching demo

Last Saturday was a great day for all the children on Gaelscoil Uí Riordáin. Ballincollig held an end of term event for all the boys and girls who took part in the Women In Sport program over the last 10 weeks.

36 children out of the 120 that Alex / Dave had in the program took part. It turned out to be a good number. We might have had more had the weather not been so good.

Dave and Alex designed the event to be a test of skills with some matches thrown in for the more advanced players. The event ran from 10am to 12.30pm and was followed up with a demonstration by Colm Murphy and Ian Brown and a presentation of a certificate of participation to each child.

BTTC is delighted to be associated with the program. A special thank you to Príomhoide Gabriel ó Cathasaigh his staff and all the parents for their co-operation on the day.
