Cian makes Irish team

Ballincollig Table Tennis Club is delighted that one of our players, Cian Ross, has been chosen to represent Ireland at the Primary Schools International in Cardiff on the 7th – 9th of April. Cian has been playing table tennis for over 5 years. He started playing in Scoil Eoin, who have a great history of winning Munster and All Ireland Schools events. Cian was part of the team who won the All Ireland last year in Dublin. He also played for Munster at the interpros in Dublin last year and is hoping to be on the team again this year. This year has been a great one for Cian. He won his first under 13 Munster event in Kinsale against his club mate Adam. He also won the Ballincollig Ranking at the start of March in Colaiste Choilm. It’s great to win your home event. He came Third in the Ulster Open in Belfast, his first All Ireland trophy and at the Connacht Open, another all Ireland event, in February he was determined to win and he did. Cian has also taking part at the National training camps. We wish Cian all the best in Cardiff.
